Staying True to Yourself in Life and in Business with Sehreen Noor Ali

Sehreen is the Co-founder of Sleuth, a category defining platform to enable parent-to-parent knowledge sharing about kids health concerns. An enlightening and vulnerable conversation on being a Founder, shifting identities, and making intentional sacrifices.

Sehreen Noor Ali, Co-founder & CEO of Sleuth

A year ago someone in my network had told me that I had to meet Sehreen. I thanked them, went on with life, and many months later she entered my orbit through a different path. It was then that I realized how truly important it was for me to meet Sehreen.

Sehreen is incredibly credentialed and educated, but that’s not quite what makes her so special. She worked for the Obama administration in DC and then went on to EdTech, building (multiple) thriving communities, to HealthTech with her most recent venture Sleuth.

Among her career achievements and difficult family journey over the past year, she’s found a way to stay incredibly centered, positive, and guided by her north star. This is what makes her stand out.

I am beyond thrilled to know her, and I hope you find something in her story that resonates with you.

You’re a person of many passions and talents. What has been your north star as you’ve navigated through these areas?

Without knowing it, it's always been being authentic to myself. When I was in college, I felt like when we graduated everyone knew what they were doing except me. I felt really disappointed in myself that I didn't go down pre med or law. Now, I understand why; it was because that stuff was never really me.

I started getting really into my studies at the end of college. I decided then to keep pursuing those subjects which were anthropology and development. Then, I was in government and I realized that I really liked my job in government, but I actually really wanted to go in business.

So, always kind of being aligned even though I didn't have the words or the framework or even the self awareness. I think that's what's driven me the most.
